CMRU has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer in our Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) business unit located in Mayfield Village, an eastern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio.

The Software Engineer will design, prototype, and productize new MRI technologies for Canon Medical MRI scanners. A key role for this engineer will be working in small teams to develop and deploy machine learning algorithms to support Canon Medical’s clinical MR products.

Postdoctoral Fellow

Summary of Position

The research team at Canon Medical Research USA, Inc. (CMRU) is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow to work on positron emission tomography (PET) instrumentation. Targeted projects include detector design and characterization for a Brain PET scanner, as well as detector development for future Canon PET scanners. Anticipated start date is immediate. The initial appointment is for one year, another two-year renewal expected if progress is satisfactory.

Principal FPGA Engineer

Summary of Position

The Principal FPGA Engineer is responsible for all aspects of FPGA development, ranging from requirements analysis and FPGA architecture down to integration and debug. Responsibilities may also include multi-FPGA system architecture design and specification. Specific role varies by project assignment.

CT Senior/Principal Software Engineer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze software requirements documentation and consult with the author as needed.
  • Formulate a software design using industry best practices and document it appropriately.
  • Implement the software design by coding.
  • Design and execute the unit test plan to verify the coded software.
  • Coordinate communication with vendors related to project materials.
  • Contribute in the creation of software requirements and specifications.
  • Contributes to corporate IP portfolio.
